By candle light

Not that I'm much of an expert in 3D, but I have eyes after all <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

What I like about this scene is mostly the mood. Soft lights in the darkness and the red lamp that gives it a rather cozy look. The model looks calm and peaceful and the viewer feel the same. Also, the textures are very detailed, especially the stairs and the pavement. Besides that, I love those old pavements where the grass sticks out in places, so that's a plus for me <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)"/>

Now, there may be a story behind this, but you haven't written it and I can't tell from the image alone, so without it I can't say much about originality. Sorry about that <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="16" alt="" title="Blush"/>

There's just one thing about realism. I think it would've been better if there'd been more uneven/broken corners with those plates. I think it would fit better with the sense of age of the place, would add to those plants sticking out.
